I love places with an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're eating at home. Sweet E's makes you feel just like you're eating at Grandma's. It's got all of your favorite breakfast foods and more.
Located in Kilohana Square on the north end of Kapahulu Avenue, it was free customer parking and is open 7 days a week. They have a breakfast and lunch menu.
On this visit I tried the waffle so that I could compare it to Cafe Kaila's. There is no comparison. Cafe Kaila's Belgian waffle is a lot more crispy, but, Sweet E's waffle appears to be made from wheat flour with a hint of cinnamon. I also like that when you order it with fruit, they give bananas, blueberries and strawberries, whereas Cafe Kaila only serves strawberries with their waffles.
The hubby was very impressed with their corned beef hash since its made with real corned beef and potatoes.
Bottom Line: we'll definitely be back to try their lunch menu!
